About
Sameeksha joshi is a disciple of the Late guru Surendra Saikia and Padmashree Shovana Narayan of Lucknow Gharana.
She has been mentoring and preparing dance students for the past 10 years. Having performed across various prestigious dance festivals like Khajuraho, Konark and Taj and on platforms like Doordarshan and Commonwealth games in 2010, She has also received several accolades such as Bharat Gaurav Samman, Magadh Nritya Shiromani Award, Morni of Chandigarh and many more.
Since moving to Dubai, She has been performing for the Indian consulate in Dubai and the Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi and on various prestigious forums. During Expo 2020, she was a regular performer, having completed solo duets with her dance group several times. She has trained so far more than 800 students in Kathak.
She was felicitated with a Blue ribbon award in 2022 by Gems Legacy School for her commitment and excellence in enhancing student learning. Recently she received membership from the International Dance Council (CID) c/o UNESCO thereby certifying her as an internationally acclaimed dancer.
She believes everyone has a dancer inside of them. It might take some coaxing to get them out, but once they’re out, they’re unstoppable.
